Tony at Talon Tunes is the best I've dealt with and I've got stuff from most places. I just got a taipan veteran ii tactical with 550 barrel in .22 cal. Came setup and is a laser . I received my most recent airgun from Tony at Talon Tunes a little before noon today, Tuesday November 4. I ordered it Friday morning and they shipped it via UPS Friday afternoon after testing it. I put a scope on it and started testing pellets. No complaints, it shoots great and I got great quick service. The gun was well protected and arrived in fantastic shape. They included the velocity they got for several shots in their testing and a target with the distance clearly labeled. The tune is good with ~8 grain pellets going ~925, ~10.5 grain at about 870 and 13.4 grain about 770 fps. In my tests using just the pellets I had on hand the best groups were 1/4 inch outside to outside with 13.4 grain FX and JTS. I worried a bit when the first shot by me had a lower velocity but I checked again today, the next day and it was right in the 10 shot string. The tune is excellent making the gun totally ready to shoot as-is.

I just got delivery of my new Taipan Veteran2 from Talon Tunes. It was packed really well so the damage from the shipper (crushed box corner) had no affect on the actual Taipan packaging. I had originally ordered a different gun, but Tony worked with me and I am very happy with what I ended up with. Hey Tony i just wanted to let you know i received the gun on friday and everything is absolutely spot on. It shoots every pellet i put down it. Looking to try some light .177 slugs sometime. I want to get a few tins of pellets through it first though. Do you have any recommendations on the 10 or 13 grains? possibly even 16. I have read some compact uragans like the slugs shot around 840-880 fps. Just wanted to get your opinion.  Anyways, thanks again for the customer support and attention you put into your business! I had Tony tune it for optimum performance with pellets (I don’t shoot slugs) and it is spot on for what I requested. The things I like: Accuracy…..AMAZING Weight and balance….excellent Loading process….much easier than my Mordax Venom and you don’t have to worry about locking the magazine as required on the Hubens. Back yard friendly…..of all the high powered PCP’s I’ve owned (lost count years ago) this is by far the quietest!"

"A lot of coin for it, but it works well. Took the snap out of it. I am only running 130b reg pressure but it made a monster difference shooting 41g Zan slugs. Now I can go help my farmer friend with this gun as it won't scare the cows. Now it is back yard friendly for sure didn't notice any difference in accuracy either. (.25cal.) I have the 700mm barrel so it is long but not a big deal off a tripod or bench. - if you need to stop it from yacking this does the trick."

Tony at Talon Airguns (TalonTunes) was able to quickly get my new Taipan Slash delivered. I had to wait for him to get another shipment, but he got mine out one day after his new shipment of Slashes arrived. That's excellent customer service. I had also asked if he could put a Quick Connect Adapter on the fill probe if it didn't already have one. He replied he always does that for his customers... never a need to ask. That's a nice touch!

Another great experience with Tony. I was on the fence of switching from my typical FX to the Taipan Slash Tactical.
Received the rifle yesterday and finally got to give it my full attention; what a rifle the Slash is. Tony got it all setup for me and his numbers were spot on. I am shooting the NSA 24.8 slugs and JSB 25.39 pellets. Pellets are going right at 889 to 895 and the slugs are going 903 to 909.

Tony, I shot the Mora for the first time today.  Wow, what a rifle!!! Here are 6 shots at 100 yards.  This is untuned exactly as received from Talon Airguns.  I need a more stable set up on the bench, but other than that this rifle is amazing!  I’ll be looking to get a low profile bi-pod next.

"setup is a a condor ss frame with 24" .25cal barrel, .145 top hat, condor brass hammer and it's pushing 30gr slugs @980fps. also ran full boar .232 top hat pushing 55gr slugs @840fps rather quietly (quieter that the 6" at previous settings) so let me too..... poorly layout you the scene. it's late November around 8pm cold and dark, not full on black but just enough to not walk into things. I'm walking around the farm navigating mostly with a ATN thermal 2x scope reminding the coyotes they're not welcome here. while out justifying almost 2 grand on an airgun set up (WORTH IT) I happen across pack of 4 racoons and manage to creep within 50yds undetected. trash pandas don't pay rent so eviction time, lineup the first one, square to the dome, dropped and twitches. no scattering, no panic, they don't know i there. we're also in proxy of cow barns, always something making noise in/around there. 2nd racoon goes to check on 1st racoon and takes a headshot, stunned but not dead, eats another 2 slugs and somehow the undead racoon runs off (H&N grizzlies don't expand) well I sent 4 shots within 50yds and the 2 remaining raccoons can not tell where I am to run away. 3rd raccoon stops long enough for a headshot, drops. 4th racoon full panic runs off, lives to be evicted another day. 4 shots and i didn't lose my stealth. dead quiet is and appropriate term."

"running a condor ss with a 24" barrel in .22cal, .166 top hat and powerwheel 7.7. pushing 25grs@1000fps so not full boar but still potent. it's rather neighbor offensive unmoderated. with the 6" moderator it's noticeable but not louder than the pellet smacking a squirrel and about par with stock condor ss at my current settings. backyard shooting doesn't seem to bother anyone. turning the power down to 800fps range yields much stealthier results.(brass hammer and O-ring mod, highly recommend) fit is snug but excessive removal and installation wore the o-rings gave it a bit of play, remember to lube your o-rings. hundreds of pellets have passed thru it and no sign of internals coming loose. the 9" work better if you don't have a length limit. condor ss with a 9" is about 47""

Tony did it again with another awesome customized Texan in .257. Shipping was quick and the packaging was so perfect he even sent the air bottle all gassed up. Right out of the box this thing shot like a laser beam giving 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards. I used the slugs Tony recommended (NSA 75g) and couldn’t be happier. I have the 90g griffins as well but will experiment more with those later. The tuning of this is just so simple and the power down range is out of this world. At the range, everyone put their powder burners down and wanted to try it out. Knocked a few spinner targets way back into the dirt berm. Thanks again Tony for your patience to answer all my questions. I’ve been bugging this guy for a month with questions on specs before I finally pulled the trigger.

"I love my new AAA talonp air pistol (air rifle with moderator and tank attached). My only issue now is that my crony stopped working the day after I received it from Tony. I got 950 fps with 26 grain polymag pellets for 52fpe with the talonp set to 8 power when I measured it on day one. Now I want to measure my 33.95g jsb heavies and my 30.86g h&n baracudas for fpe but I can't. After shooting it for almost a week I accidentally dry fired it without the tank or spin lock collar and was convinced I broke it beyond repair and would have to send it back to Tony for him to repair. I called him about what to do next and he took 10 seconds to instruct me on how to take it apart to fix it myself. I did what Tony said and after taking it apart I put it back together and it was fine again. I have shot it since then but now a need a new chrony just to confirm it still shoots at the same power it did when it was new. I have spoken with Tony 4 times and he is a GREAT guy!!! When I was going to buy a new part for it he advised me not to and told me why. He isn't trying just to make a buck. Again, GREAT GUY!!! Hopefully I didn't ramble on too much."

"C. Michael 12/31/23 Condor 14″ shroud sound moderator ….. Just got this out of the box and Wow ! Have a few “real” NFA suppressors and the various manufacturers could learn a thing or two about superior fit and finish. Very impressive,light, just right fit to the barrel. Got it out and it just gets better! Sound is really knocked down on my .25 Condor. Takes it from near .22 LR noise down to Daisy 880 with 2,3 pumps. And this description doesn’t really do it justice either ! Well worth the short wait ,buy the best once and don’t look back."

"I've had my AAA TalonP for about a year now. Tony was outstanding in setting this airgun up to shoot with outstanding accuracy and reliability. I didn't touch the adjustments and left them the way Tony set it. I'm shooting H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme pellets at 864 FPS for about 45.5 FPE at the muzzle. I'm getting about 20 shots from a full charge till I notice an appreciable drop in the POI at 50 yards. I said this is an accurate airgun but keep in mind this isn't a match grade rifle like you would get in a masterpiece costing $2000 plus. At 50 yards my 20 shot groups are hovering around 1 to 2 inches. That's good enough for something that's meant to be very portable, simple and able to be charged with a hand pump. As long as the tool fits the job, Tony's modifications to this airgun will do it reliably."
