Been looking at Talon Tunes for months. I was looking to upgrade. I had a Kral Jumbo Dazzle .25 cal. Good PCP air rifle, but was just not doing the job on the raccoons. I have a bad raccoon problem. They killed my chickens, destroyed my beehives and destroyed my tomatoes. I had to declare WAR! The Kral just didn’t have enough punch to kill them. I’ve seen the pellet bounce off them. I saw the RTI Prophet 2.1 Performance. I sent Tony a message and he replied back instantly. I told him that I needed something for varmints. He tuned it up for me. And I couldn’t be happier. This dirty .30 puts them down.

Tony did it again with another awesome customized Texan in .257. Shipping was quick and the packaging was so perfect he even sent the air bottle all gassed up. Right out of the box this thing shot like a laser beam giving 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards. I used the slugs Tony recommended (NSA 75g) and couldn’t be happier. I have the 90g griffins as well but will experiment more with those later. The tuning of this is just so simple and the power down range is out of this world. At the range, everyone put their powder burners down and wanted to try it out. Knocked a few spinner targets way back into the dirt berm. Thanks again Tony for your patience to answer all my questions. I’ve been bugging this guy for a month with questions on specs before I finally pulled the trigger.

My journey into PCP airguns started a year ago just reading and watching YouTube but never really new what you could believe. So I started out with a Air Venturi bullpup and a AEA Bullpup and they were ok but wanted something better. And though research contacted Tony and he answered all the questions I had and he set me up with the Uragan 2 .25cal. When it arrived it shot every bit as good as he told me it was dime sized groups at 50yds with H&N 34gr 1065 fps. Crazy good. Another thing that was pretty amazing was he called me before he shipped it now that’s customer service. THANKS AGAIN TONY

I purchased a Taipan Veteran Tactical II on April 11, 2024. When I received the gun, I unboxed it, and I mounted the scope. Right out of the box, the gun is a beauty to behold. It is accurate and quiet and wonderful to use. I have been using it for about 30 days now, and I can say without a doubt, I am so happy with my purchase. Received rifle today 4/26 everything was in excellent condition thank you for all the extra items you sent with it. I did shoot it about 20 shots my groups @ 25 yards are not that good everyone of the slugs went different places. They were .217 23 grain Presslug I swaged. I tried 5 shot group of 28.5 grain, Seneca pellets not that good either, then tried Norma 17.8 grain pellets barrel didn’t like those either. But it is still early and i will find what the barrel likes its all part of having fun doing that and checking size, weights and speed over chrono. i am a retired Correctional officer from Illinois and in the later stages of heart failure so the rifle shooting and testing takes my mind off that and gives me something to do. Thank you for taking time on the phone answering all my questions even though you were busy, Your patience is remarkable and went above and beyond, If the lord above gives me more time I look forward to doing business with you in the future. I got tired of wandering zero’s on low end air rifles and called Tony at Talon Tunes for some direction. He asked about my use case and priorities, and narrowed it down to a few recommendations. I ended up buying a Taipan Veteran 2 in .25 and couldn’t be happier. It came fully tuned to the pellets I selected, and included test targets and a chrono printout. Pretty impressive!

Post sale I had a few questions. Tony answers the phone himself, spends whatever time is needed with you, and makes sure you’re happy. He even followed up by text to make sure every issue was resolved and everything was perfect.

Great customer service deserves some recognition, and Tony at Talon Tunes provides fantastic customer service!

Hi gang

This is my 2nd Taipan purchased at Talon Tunes.

First time was several years ago buying a Taipan Long .25 Long (Vet 1). I really liked the rifle but the .25 was probably over kill for BR paper targets at 50y. I did have a couple bumps breaking it in, and sent it back and Tony replaced my Taipan regulator with a Huma.

Recently, I saw an AGN post from Dairyboy ( Dillon ) and his experience with his new Vet2 was very helpful to me and others on understanding the differences between the two guns.

I was actively engaged in his thread and was following closely. I subsequently decided to call Tony and discuss my thoughts. He remembered me from my first purchase and proceeded to talk about the Vet 2. Every text, email or phone call was responded to immediately. He is busy, but does try to get back to his customers. I think it’s him only, so there is no huge staff.

I clearly explained what I wanted and he had a .22 Long 700 mm Laminate in stock and I ordered the gun. One week later it was delivered, and with the pellet I wanted tested at 910 FPS, which is what I requested.

Tony is direct, but so am I, and we know each other’s personalities over the years. He listened to me and did a great job on this transaction!
